RACE Core Facility Staff Participate in KPI Training at VIB

On 12–14 October 2026, Olga Gewartowska and Vanessa Linke, members of the IIMCB Core Facilities team, participated in the “Key Performance Indicators for Core Facilities: From Metrics to Success” training course in Ghent, Belgium, organised entirely by VIB, a strategic partner of the RACE project.
The three-day workshop focused on the use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate core facility performance. Key topics included operational efficiency, financial sustainability, user satisfaction, scientific impact, and continuous improvement.
The training provided practical insights into selecting, tracking, and analysing performance indicators to support data-driven decision-making and effective core facility management.
Participation in this course contributes to the RACE project’s objective of strengthening IIMCB’s core facilities and enhancing their operational excellence.
This activity was carried out as part of Work Package 3 (WP3) – Development of IIMCB Core Facilities within the RACE project.
